About Us

Canongate Catholic High School opened September 4, 2013 with 14 students in 9th -12th grades. Currently, two full-time and six part-time teachers (43% advanced degrees) teach 17 students: four freshman, two sophomores, six juniors, and five seniors.

Mission Statement

Canongate seeks to impart a traditional formation in Western culture and the Catholic Faith by teaching the liberal arts and immersing students in the beauty of truth, so they may discover that the world is a good gift and respond fully to the Giver, growing in virtue as ladies and gentlemen.

Patron Saint

St. Margaret of Scotland, patron of learning and family, is our school patron.


Canongate provides the most affordable private, high school education in the Asheville area.  Tuition is $6,800.  A second child is $4,760.
Financial assistance is available.  Applications must be submitted through FACTS.
